Castings
What are worm castings? Quite simply they are the end result of worms eating, or worm manure. The differences between worm castings and other forms of manure are many.
- Worm casting are coated with a calcium shell making them slow release.
- Worms have a “gizzard” like structure that allows organic matter to be broken down more than animals can.
- Worms live in the ground and make the ground healthy, with their castings, by adding antibiotics and enzymes.
- Casting are sifted with a 1/8 inch screen making them spreadable with a broadcast spreader.
- They are made of all the nutrients your plants need with 25% organic matter, which is exactly what is recommended for your soil.
- Worms are fed primarily vegetable matter. Paper, cardboard, leaves, vegetable leftovers, etc. So there is less possibility of harmful bacteria being on your vegetables.
- Casting smell like soil

We’ve just sent our castings to a lab to get tested for our label. Then when we get our label we will send it in to get our license to sell it. We are hoping we can get this all done very soon.
We are looking for some retailers to sell our casting. If this is something that interests you please feel free to call us.
We are looking for landscapers and wineries that are interested in trying our castings. We will give out free samples of our castings for them to try. Please feel free to contact us.
We are also looking for greenhouse owners that would like to try our castings and or sell them at their location. We will give out free samples of our castings for them to try. There is a how to page on our site that tells how and when to use our castings. We will also be putting more information about our castings on our website as we get it.
We are planning on sifting every 3 months. The next time we sift we should have about 3 tons. That will be the end of June 2008. We currently have just about a ton now that is dry and ready to sell as soon as we get our label and license. We have been using it on our house plants and they are out standing! I can’t wait to use them in our garden this year! We used our castings when we planted our trees the end of April. The trees will do very well.
We will be selling the castings for $0.50 a pound. There will be discounts given on large orders. We have not determined the break down for the discounts on the larger orders yet.
Visit our website often because we update it a lot! Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
