Casting Instructions
For Decorative Plants & Trees
| Trees - Add 15 lbs of casting to the hole before placing the plant. Once root ball is covered, spread another 15 lbs to top of soil. then add 15 lbs of casting annually to top soil then water it. Top dress with 1 gallon of castings if it is a bare root planting. Using the worm castings when planting your tree will keep your tree alive by retaining water durning the dry times and will be feeding your tree for the entire year. Worm castings are full of micro nutrients. Using casting makes for a healthier adult tree and the ability to grow faster and stronger. Fruit trees produce more fruit and shade trees survive longer all with once a year use. |

| Shrubs - Add 5 lbs of castings to hole before placing plant. Anually add 10 lbs of castings to soil around shrubs. |
House Plants - Add 1 cup of casting to top soil for 8 inch planter. Start plants in 1/3 casting and 2/3 potting soil.
Grass - With a broad cast spreader, open to max, 30 lbs casting will amend 1200 sq feet. Do this in spring, summer and late fall. Grass can be one of the most damaged plants on your property and needs the help of a soil booster. R.W. Flowers - Add 1 inch high line of casting inbetween plants in spring and summer. To get high quality blooms from your flowers, your plants need large amounts of Micro-Nutrients like Magnesium, Calcium, Iron and Sulfur. R.W. Castings contain all of these plus Nitrogen and Phospherous.
Garden Plants

Tomatoes - Add approximately 1 cup casting in hole before placing plant and 1/4 cup casting on top soil before June.
Root plants (carrots, raddishes, potatoes, ect.) - Cover seed with casting instead of dirt.
Pepper plants (spicy or bell peppers) - Add one cup of casting to hole before placing plant. Add 1/4 cup casting before summer to soil around plant.
Lettuce plants - Cover seed with casting instead of dirt and add 1 in line of casting about 2 in away from seed row.
Bean Plants - green, soy beans, pea - do not use unless you know you need nitrogen
Conversion - 5 lbs = 1 gallon of casting
