Breeding Stock

We are going to show you pictures of all of our breeding stock along with their pedigree.  Some of them have had kids and for some, it will be their first year.  We are going to have some outstanding kids for sale this year and in the years to come.  We are going to start showing this year and who knows we may see you there!

Tucker #V61
Tucker is a Correct Fullblood Buck. His name on his paper is BQB Elton. He came from Granbury Texas. We bought him From Art Killian on 9/18/07. We put him right to work. He was an aggressive breeder at 9 months old~! He is a Wheeler son. Wheeler is a Full brother to the Ennobled Buck “HOSS”. His mother Miss Perfect won grand champion doe at the Iowa State fair 2007. She belongs to Trickman Farm in Grinnell, Iowa.
.His first kids hit the ground mid February 08. We took him to the vet in January. The vet guessed him at weighing in at 225lbs. He was a year old on the 15th of December 2007. He will definitely put meat on his kids. We have some excellent show Quality kids on the ground now from him for sale.

Home Sweet Home's "Sir Bart" #808
Bart is a Correct Fullblood. He is wide and full bodied. He is a KB Killian’s Silverado and KB Killian’s Delta Kid born 1/3/08.  He is part of a set of triplets. We sold Silverado "Homer" in November 2007.  Homer was sold to Jay Hansen of Marshalltown, IA.  Bart has sired some really nice kids. You can see these kids on the Buck Kids for sale page. He was born 2-19-09. His father is ennobled. He is just starting breeding. Were using him alot and his first kids arrived on 2-19-10 out of Lacy J. We should have some kids from him this spring. We have more kids coming from him soon.

HoShee
HoShee’s mom wasn’t registered so HoShee is a 50% Boer. She was born 8/22/07. She is out of Oscar and Suzie.  She is very solid and square all the way around.  She had an outstanding hair coat last winter.  She has show prospects.  I have been working with her to get her to lead. That has been fun!

This is HoShee being shown her in the “Never Boering Show” at the Sioux County Fair Grounds in Sioux Center Iowa on 7/12/08, she is being shown by Terry. She took first place in the show!
She just had a set of twins, the 19th of January. We sold her wether to a kid in 4H and will be showing him in the Iowa State Fair. We've kept Sophie and plan to show her. HoShee has very broad kids. She's been bred back to Tucker and she had another set of twins. We had two percentage kids, the doeling, Gabbie is a paint and we're keeping her and the buckling is a traditional color. He is a wether and has been sold. He's going to be shown in 4H.

Rosie
She is a percentage doe that has just had her first kids January 08. She has width to her chest and her kids are nice. We don’t have papers on her. We bought her from a family that sells meat kids.
We kept two of her doelings, Sadie and Sally, they are now bred to Bart and we are looking forward to seeing nice kids out of them. They are 844 and 845, they are Tucker kids. Rosie is currently bred back to Tucker. She is expected to kid in March of 2010

She was one of our first Traditional Fullblood kids that we raised here. She is young and we look for great kids in the future from her. She is a very solid doe.

KB Wernimont's May Bell
She is a Correct Fullblood. We bought her 4/22/07 from a fellow Boer Goat Breeder. We got a bargain when we bought her! She is also out of Art Killians stock. She isn’t the tallest of our does but she is solid and wide.
May Bell kidded in December of 2009. The bucklings are very broad and round, they're just like their sire, Tucker. They are for sale on the Buck Kids for Sale page. She will be bred back to Geronimo.

KB Killian's Tina
She is a Correct Fullblood. We added her to our herd at the same time as Delta. 7/18/07. Yet another outstanding doe. She passes her size on to her kids. Tina has been shown and has placed in a Nebraska show. Tina had two sets of triplets for us in 2008. She kidded in December of 2009 and had a set of twin bucks and they are as broad and heavy as their sire Tucker. You will see them soon on the Buck Kids for Sale page. She is big and broad, a nice heavy doe.

She is Fullblood Paint. We call her Fuzzy Butt. When we bought her, she was shedding her coat. There was a lot of fuzz on her brown bottom.
She came from Sterling City, Texas. We bought her from Art Killian that bought her after the show. It was The Iowa Corn Belt Show in May of 07, in Des Moines Iowa, where she took Grand Champion Fullblood Doe.
She is a proud momma of Home Sweet Home Painted Glory and a new momma to Home Sweet Homes Jilli Bean and Trudie. Sir Bart is their dad.
This is Fuzzy Butt and her baby, #919 - Jilli. Now you can see why we call her Fuzzy Butt.
She kidded 12/18/09. She had triplets. The two doe kids were sold. The buck kid, 955 will be on the Buck Kids for Sale page. The two doe kids were sold to Kelly Manker and his daughter Kalynn for 4h show projects. We will be getting pictures them and the does soon, they will be on the Sold page.

KB Killian's Sabrina #825
Sabrina is a Traditional Fullblood. She is a very nice full bodied doe. She has a nice wide chest and nice round but. She is one of the last 7 we bought from Art Killian on 1-26-08. When we bought her bred to KB Killian's War Wagon. He is an outstanding paint fullblood buck. She had 2 outstanding does. Their pictures are on the doe page and the breeding stock page.  They are very nice additions to our herd, they will kid in May of 2009. I was hoping for spots. Well I am not going to give up!
She is currently bred to Geromino and is due to kid 5/26/2010

Izzabell
Izzabell and Sabean are a set of twins that were born 2/1/08.  They are out of KB Killian’s War Wagon and KB Killian’s Sabrina.  We bought Sabrina after she was bred.  We were hoping for paint kids.  As you see we didn’t get paints.  Izzy and Sabean have some growing to do. They are solid and have nice round hindquarters.  They are a great addition to our herd.

Maggie
We bought Maggie, the paint doe in the middle from Scott Konz outside of Nabraska. Scott is a commercial meat producer. Maggie is a high percentage paint doe that was
born March 2007. She does not have registration papers. She is a very nice addition to our herd.
She had twin buck kids 1/18/2010. They are to be sold as 4H projects. There will be pictures on the Buck Kids for Sale page soon.

Cloudy
Cloudy is a 75% doe. Cloudy is a March 2008 kid. We won’t be breeding her until the spring of 2009.  She has a lot of size and length to her now just think what she’ll look like after she is done growing!  She is a fine addition to our herd.  Cloudy will add size and color to our kids.  She is a KB Killian’s War Wagon Daughter.

Home Sweet Home's Lacy
#868, she is a Fullblood Born 10/25/2008.  We call her "Lacy". She is out of Tucker and Delta.  SHE CAME FROM ONE OF OUR BEST DOES.  868 IS MOST DEFINITELY SHOW QUALITY.  She is heavy framed and wide in the chest. Delta is a great producer and Milker.  She raises her kids... 868 will no doubt do the same.

Sadie
These does are percentage twins Sallie- #845 and Sadie- #844, they were born 7/27/2008 and are out of Tucker and Rosie.  These 2 are large framed as you can see.  They will make great additions to any herd.  Their mom has had 5 kids for us this year.  She is a very good milker and raises her kids.
She is bred to Bart. She should be kidding on June 16, 2010.

This is Ruby one of our newest additions to Home Sweet Home Farms. We bought her from Dan Dreezsen of Spirit Lake, Ia on the 8th of Aug 2009.  She is a percentage Boer cross with out papers. She is very sleek and solid all the way around.  She is a very nice addition to our herd.

This is Gabbie she was born 8/17/09 out of HoShee and Tucker. She is a very thick paint doe that I nicknamed and call her Short Round. She will be bred to Geromino sometime late spring or early summer. We expect great things from her and Geromino can't wait, but guess we will have too. Registration paper coming soon.

This is Goldie. She is a Lamacha Dairy Goat. We rescued her Jan. 2010 from a place that wasn't taking care of any of her needs such as food, water, mineral and shelter. This is after we have had her for 6 weeks, she still looks thin but she has come a long way. She is so friendly and such a sweetheart we plan on keeping her around and we might bred her here and there.

This is Sweetie. We rescued her from the same place we rescued Goldie from. Sweetie has a very nice disposition and we plan on keeping her around and will bred her as she gets in better shape.
